Sand and Sea Yacht Charters

Ongoing WordPress management and technical SEO support designed to keep the website healthy, current, and visible to Google.

A website that needed ongoing attention.
The Challenge

A website that needed ongoing attention.

When Hive Digital Marketing began managing the SSY Charters website, our first priority was understanding the existing WordPress environment. The site had accumulated plugins, unused content, and other administrative elements that were no longer necessary. At the same time, Google Search Console was reporting indexing, redirect, and canonicalization issues that needed attention.

The challenge wasn't simply keeping the website online. It was making sure the website remained technically healthy, properly maintained, and accessible to search engines.
Small updates. Consistent management.
Our Approach

Small updates. Consistent management.

Rather than treating website maintenance as a once-a-year cleanup, Hive took an ongoing approach to the SSY Charters website. We reviewed the WordPress environment, removed unnecessary plugins and content, maintained the active plugin ecosystem, and monitored the site's technical infrastructure. We also regularly reviewed Google Search Console and responded to issues as they appeared.

Search Console became an important part of the ongoing management process.
Keeping WordPress healthy.
Our Approach

Keeping WordPress healthy.

We cleaned up inactive plugins, removed unnecessary drafts and spam comments, disabled comments moving forward, and kept essential plugins updated. We also helped manage the site's technical environment, including applying the Elementor license, confirming the PHP upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3, updating site configuration, and completing the initial Yoast SEO setup.

And when appropriate, we requested that Google re-index affected pages.
The Results

What changed.

  • 01

    Nearly 3× more pages indexed

When Hive began managing the website, approximately 75–80 pages were indexed by Google. After several months of ongoing maintenance, technical cleanup, Search Console remediation, and indexing requests, approximately 225 pages were indexed. 75–80 → 225 That's approximately 3× as many pages indexed by Google.

  • 02

    A cleaner WordPress environment

We removed unnecessary plugins, cleaned up unused content, eliminated spam comments, disabled comments, and kept the active plugin environment maintained. The result is a cleaner, more manageable foundation for the website moving forward.

  • 03

A more proactive approach to technical SEO

Instead of waiting for technical issues to become larger problems, we continuously monitored Search Console and responded to Google's reported issues. Redirects, canonicalization, indexing, and technical configuration are now part of an ongoing management process rather than something addressed only when a problem becomes obvious.
